Senior Nurse (Registered Nurse) | Geelong Urgent Care Clinic

Are you an experienced Registered Nurse with urgent care or emergency nursing experience? Join our Geelong Urgent Care Clinic and help deliver high-quality, patient-centred care in a fast-paced clinical environment.

This is a casual role with rostered shifts as required, with minimum shifts typically 5 hours. We're looking for nurses who are prepared to work to their full scope of practice, are team-oriented, proactive, and committed to delivering exceptional patient care.

What you'll be doing

• Conduct patient assessment and triage in line with ATS standards
• Perform IV cannulation and ECG monitoring
• Provide wound care, including suturing and wound glue application
• Manage minor burns and musculoskeletal injuries
• Undertake plastering and urinary catheter management
• Identify and respond to potentially life-threatening conditions while patients await hospital transfer
• Maintain infection prevention and control standards
• Support the delivery of the full scope of services within a Medicare Urgent Care Clinic

About you

• Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
• Experience in urgent care, emergency or acute clinical settings
• Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or Advanced Life Support (ALS)
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Caring, empathetic and patient-focused approach
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
