Administration & Accounts Officer

Costas Seafood Café – Wynnum

Full-Time | Salary Negotiable Based on Experience

Costas Seafood Café is looking for an experienced and organised Administration & Accounts Officer to join our team at our Wynnum location.

This is a hands-on role providing administrative, accounts and payroll support across the business. You will work closely with management and support the day-to-day administration of all Costas Seafood Café locations.

We are looking for someone who is reliable, well organised and confident taking responsibility for their work.

Key Responsibilities

The role will include, but is not limited to:

• Invoicing and accounts payable
• Entering and processing supplier invoices
• Checking supplier statements and resolving discrepancies
• Processing payroll through Deputy
• Maintaining accurate employee records
• Managing employee documentation and records
• Xero administration
• Deputy administration
• POS administration and support
• Bank reconciliations
• General office administration
• Filing and record keeping
• Assisting management with financial and operational reports
• Following up outstanding accounts and administrative matters
• Liaising with suppliers, staff and external accountants
• Providing general administrative support to management
• Supporting the administration requirements of all Costas Seafood Café locations

About You

The successful applicant will have:

• Previous experience in administration, accounts or bookkeeping
• Strong working knowledge of Xero – essential
• Strong working knowledge of Deputy – essential
• Payroll experience
• Experience with accounts payable and supplier reconciliations
• Experience with bank reconciliations
• Good Microsoft Excel and computer skills
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
• Strong organisational and time-management skills
• The ability to work independently and manage competing priorities
• Good communication skills
• A professional and reliable approach
• The ability to maintain confidentiality when dealing with payroll and employee information

Experience in hospitality or a multi-site business will be highly regarded.

The Role

This is an important position within a growing hospitality business. You will work directly with management and play an important role in keeping our accounts, payroll and administration organised and up to date.

We are looking for someone who can take ownership of their responsibilities, identify issues and follow them through to completion.

Pay: $52,895.35 – $84,260.92 per year
