Funeral Assistant (Casual)

Riverina Funerals is seeking a caring, professional and reliable person to join our team as a Funeral Director’s Assistant on a casual basis, to provide support during a period of maternity leave.

About The Role

The successful applicant will provide support to the Funeral Director across a range of funeral-related duties. This is primarily a Monday to Friday position based at our Funeral Home, with some after-hours and weekend work required.

The role involves working closely with deceased persons and assisting with various aspects of funeral services and operations. You will be required to backfill other roles within the business as needed.

The right candidate will have the opportunity to undertake a full-time temporary position for the duration of the maternity leave period.

This is an important role within our business. The care, dignity and respect we provide to deceased persons and their families is at the heart of everything we do.

Essential Requirements

·       Current NSW Driver Licence.

·       Current Criminal Record Check, or willingness to obtain one.

·       A professional and compassionate approach to working with bereaved families.

Previous experience in the funeral industry is highly valued but not essential. Full training will be provided to the right candidate.
