Business Cutover Manager

We are seeking an experienced Cutover Manager to lead and coordinate all cutover planning, readiness, and execution activities for large-scale transformation programs. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing detailed cutover runbooks, managing mock cutovers, coordinating cross-functional stakeholders, and ensuring a seamless transition to production with minimal business disruption.Key ResponsibilitiesRunbook Development & OrchestrationOwn the end-to-end cutover strategy, planning, and execution.Develop and maintain highly detailed technical and business cutover runbooks, including 24/7 execution activities during cutover periods.Define sequencing, dependencies, checkpoints, rollback procedures, and contingency plans.Coordinate execution activities across application, infrastructure, integration, security, data, and business teams.Stakeholder & Change AlignmentCollaborate closely with business stakeholders, project teams, and change management functions to ensure cutover readiness.Draft, review, and coordinate stakeholder communications related to cutover activities.Facilitate governance forums, readiness reviews, and go/no-go decision meetings.Ensure alignment between business operations, technical teams, and external vendors.Dry Run & Mock Cutover ManagementPlan, schedule, and lead multiple mock cutovers and rehearsal activities.Identify operational risks, process gaps, and execution bottlenecks during rehearsals.Capture lessons learned and update runbooks accordingly.Validate rollback and recovery procedures through testing.Manual Process & Business Continuity ManagementTrack and coordinate manual interim processes required during transition periods.Manage business continuity workarounds, operational exceptions, and data reconciliation activities.Ensure completion of data catch-up activities and post-cutover validations.Monitor and report cutover progress, risks, issues, and dependencies.Cutover Execution & Hypercare SupportLead command-center activities during cutover execution.Coordinate issue resolution and escalation management.Provide status reporting to program leadership and executive stakeholders.Support post-go-live stabilization, hypercare, and transition to BAU operations.Required Skills & Qualifications8+ years of experience in Cutover Management, Release Management, Program Delivery, or Large-Scale Transformations.Proven experience delivering enterprise-wide ERP, SAP, Oracle, Digital, Cloud, or Business Transformation programs.Strong expertise in cutover planning, runbook development, deployment sequencing, and rollback planning.Experience coordinating cross-functional teams across business and technology domains.Strong stakeholder management, communication, and governance skills.Familiarity with Change Management, ITIL, Release Management, and Project Delivery methodologies.Experience using tools such as ServiceNow, Jira, Confluence, Microsoft Project, Azure DevOps, or similar.Preferred QualificationsExperience in SAP S/4HANA, Oracle, Cloud Migration, or Enterprise Transformation programs.PMP, PRINCE2, ITIL, Agile, or SAFe certifications.Experience managing large-scale global cutovers and hypercare activities.Key CompetenciesCutover Planning & ExecutionRunbook ManagementStakeholder EngagementBusiness ReadinessRisk & Dependency ManagementChange & Release ManagementBusiness Continuity PlanningExecutive CommunicationCrisis & Incident ManagementCross-Functional Leadership
