Graduate / Junior Accountant - Tax and Business Services

L Lau & Co is a well-established Chartered Accounting firm located in the Sydney CBD that provides clients with tailored taxation, accounting and structuring advice to assist them grow and manage their businesses and financial investments.

We are currently seeking a graduate/junior accountant whose main responsibilities will include assisting with the:

• Preparation of financial statements, management accounts and income tax returns for a wide variety of clients and entities;

• Preparation of Business Activity Statements and Instalment Activity Statements;

• Liaising with the ATO;

• Conducting and analysing research to assist prepare advice on technical issues; and

• Performance of annual tax planning.

To be successful in the role you will possess the following skills and experiences:

• An Australian business or accounting degree

• A commitment to the delivery of high quality advice and work

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Good phone manner

• Be able to work independently and have good organisation skills to meet deadlines

Any previous tax and business services work experience and tax and accounting software knowledge is an advantage.
