General Accountant

Fresh Meats is seeking a General Accountant to join our dynamic, fast-growing family-owned business based on the Sunshine Coast. You will be a self-motivated accounts team member working in a manufacturing setting, supporting our operations throughout Queensland.

Key responsibilities

• Payroll and expense approvals
• Accounts payable
• Accounts receivable
• Credit applications
• Reconciliation & reporting (BAS, month/yearend)
• Fixed asset register
• Records of financial documents
• Yield & margin management reporting & analysis
• Onboarding/offboarding through automated processes
• Collaboration with HR/RRTWC for Workcover

About you

• Qualifications and working knowledge of Accounting practices
• Understanding of Australian pay and tax requirements
• Proficiency with Xero, Excel
• Excellent attention to detail, initiative and problem-solving skills
• Comfort level in factory/manufacturing setting
• Effective communication with other department members, including overseas
