About the role

We are seeking a Weekend Barista All rounder to join the Daily Break team on a casual basis. This role is based in Glenmore Park NSW 2745 and offers the perfect opportunity for someone passionate about hospitality who is looking for flexible weekend work. As a Weekend Barista All rounder, you will be a key part of our team, delivering excellent customer service whilst preparing quality beverages and supporting our front-of-house operations. This position is essential to maintaining the high standards Daily Break is known for during our busiest trading days.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and serve a range of hot and cold beverages to the highest standard, including specialty coffee drinks

• Operate espresso machines and other beverage preparation equipment with confidence and consistency

• Provide exceptional customer service, creating a welcoming and friendly atmosphere for all guests

• Take customer orders accurately and efficiently, both at the counter and table service where applicable

• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards throughout the bar and service areas in accordance with food safety regulations

• Stock and rotate beverage supplies, ensuring adequate inventory during service periods

• Assist with general front-of-house duties as required, including seating guests and managing the flow of service

• Support team members during peak trading times and collaborate to ensure smooth operations

• Handle cash and card transactions accurately, processing payments and managing the till

• Respond professionally to customer queries and resolve any service issues promptly

What we're looking for

• Previous experience working as a barista or in a bar or café environment

• Strong knowledge of espresso-based drinks and beverage preparation techniques

• Excellent customer service skills with a positive, friendly demeanor

• Ability to work efficiently during busy periods whilst maintaining quality standards

• Good communication skills and the ability to work well as part of a team

• Flexibility to work weekends reliably and consistently

• Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high hygiene and cleanliness standards

• Basic cash handling experience and familiarity with point-of-sale systems is advantageous

• A passion for hospitality and a genuine interest in providing excellent service
