We are seeking a reliable, hardworking, experienced and motivated Grounds & Property Maintenance Crew Member to join our team. This is a full-time position for someone who enjoys working outdoors, takes pride in their work, and has a strong work ethic.

BMS Commercial Services is relatively new to the Bendigo area, but we are well established as a business and are now looking to grow our local team. This role has the potential to develop into a team leader position for the right person.

About the Role

The role involves a variety of grounds and property maintenance tasks, including:

• General grounds maintenance and garden care.

• Lawn mowing, edging, pruning, hedging, and weed control.

• Applying horticultural knowledge to maintain healthy gardens and landscapes.

• Operating and maintaining a range of commercial outdoor power equipment and machinery.

• Cleaning gutters using a vaccum suction unit and carrying out work at heights safely.

• Travelling to various work sites, including occasional overnight stays.

What We're Looking For

The successful applicant will:

• Have experience in grounds maintenance, landscaping, or horticulture.

• Possess sound horticultural knowledge.

• Be physically fit and capable of manual labour.

• Be reliable, punctual, honest, and trustworthy.

• Work efficiently while maintaining a high standard of workmanship.

• Be confident using outdoor machinery and willing to learn the maintenance and servicing requirements of equipment.

• Be comfortable working at heights for gutter cleaning and similar tasks.

• Be willing to travel and stay away overnight when required.

• Hold a current driver's licence

• Be willing to undergo and successfully obtain a National Police Check, as our work sites are government facilities where a current police clearance is a requirement.

• Standard working hours: Monday to Friday, 7:00 am – 3:30 pm.
