Position Requirements:
• Provision of clinical services to patients designated as under your direct care, to outpatients and to patients you are asked to consult in general, colorectal and trauma surgery;
• Provide services relating to all aspects of colorectal surgery as well as general surgery, hernia surgery, laparoscopic surgery, colonoscopy and endoscopy;
• Participate in teaching and research duties;
• Promotion of good patient care and the good reputation of the department and the hospital;
• Ensure the numbers of elective waiting list patients do not exceed the National and State waiting time benchmarks or exceed the capacity of the contractually agreed theatre time availability to undertake the wait list cases, in accordance with NSW Health Policy;
• Participate in the General Surgery and Trauma on-call roster.
