Employment Type: Permanent Part Time
Position Classification: Occupational Therapist Lvl 3
Remuneration: $121,568 - $125,507
Hours Per Week: 20
Requisition ID: REQ685093
Advertising Closes: 16 September 2026
As the Occupational Therapist Level 3 - Sub Acute Coordinator, you will provide advanced clinical leadership and coordination within our sub-acute services, ensuring the delivery of safe, effective and evidence-based occupational therapy care.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced clinician to utilise their expertise in service planning, implementation and evaluation while leading a dedicated team of occupational therapy professionals. You will work collaboratively with multidisciplinary stakeholders to coordinate client care, support service development initiatives and drive continuous improvement in patient outcomes.
The role requires a highly skilled practitioner who can confidently manage complex clinical presentations, exercise advanced clinical reasoning and professional judgement, and provide supervision, mentorship and leadership to occupational therapy staff. Working both autonomously and as part of a collaborative healthcare team, you will contribute to the strategic direction and ongoing excellence of sub-acute services.
You are an experienced and motivated Occupational Therapist who is passionate about delivering high-quality patient care while providing leadership within a sub-acute care environment. With a recognised Occupational Therapy qualification and registration with the Occupational Therapy Board of Australia, you have developed significant expertise in the planning, implementation and evaluation of occupational therapy services.
You are a confident clinician with advanced reasoning skills and the ability to apply sound professional judgement and evidence-based practice when managing complex clinical situations. Your excellent interpersonal and communication skills allow you to build strong relationships with patients, families and colleagues, while effectively managing consultation, negotiation and conflict resolution when required.
Working autonomously comes naturally to you, but you also thrive as part of a multidisciplinary team, contributing to collaborative care planning and positive patient outcomes. You have demonstrated experience coordinating client care, balancing competing priorities, organising workloads and delegating tasks appropriately to therapists and support staff. Most importantly, you are a supportive and capable leader who enjoys mentoring, supervising and developing others, helping your team achieve high standards of clinical practice and service excellence.
What you'll be doing
