Excavator operator

About the role

An experienced Excavator Operator role working on civil drainage projects across the Central Coast. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled operator who takes pride in their work and has experience with drainage, trenching and underground services.

Key responsibilities

• Operating excavators on drainage projects

• Trenching for stormwater and sewer

• Excavating and preparing pipe trenches

• Pipe bedding and backfilling

• Working around existing underground services

• Detailed excavation around pits, pipes and structures

• Loading and moving materials

• Assisting the drainage crew when required

• Maintaining machinery and completing daily pre-starts

• Working safely and efficiently on active construction sites

About you

• 10 year's excavator operating experience

• Experience in general earthworks, civil drainage and/or pipe laying

• Can accurately dig trenches to required levels and grades

• Understands working around underground services

• Reliable, punctual and hardworking

• Takes pride in producing quality work

• Can work independently and as part of a team

• Current White Card

• Current driver's licence

• Excavator tickets/licences required
