About the Role 

As Account Executive – Strategic Partnerships, you’ll drive new business growth across our Data & AI consulting services and build the vendor relationships that generate it. 

You’ll identify and win new enterprise and mid-market clients, working with our consultants to scope and price engagements, and remain the client’s primary relationship once work begins. 

Alongside this, you’ll develop partnerships with the cloud and data platform vendors our clients rely on, creating co-selling opportunities and a steady source of referred pipeline. 

Key Responsibilities 

New business 

• Identify and target enterprise and mid-market clients across sectors 
• Build account plans, run the full sales cycle, and close new work 
• Sell the full range of our services: Data Strategy, Engineering, Cloud Modernisation, Analytics, ML and AI 
• Represent Synogize at industry events, webinars and partner forums 
• Maintain an accurate pipeline and a forecast the business can plan against 

Strategic partnerships 

• Build genuine relationships with vendor account executives, solution architects and alliance managers 
• Run joint go-to-market activity: account mapping, co-selling, joint campaigns and events 
• Generate partner-sourced pipeline, and bring partners into your own opportunities 
• Keep our capability and success stories in front of partners, and keep our teams across what partners are doing 
• Report on what the ecosystem is producing — sourced pipeline and influenced revenue 

Deal shaping and pricing 

• Lead pre-sales planning, bid review and proposal presentation 
• Work with senior consultants and delivery leads to scope engagements accurately 
• Build cost estimates and pricing that win the work without eroding margin, and defend that pricing with clients 

Client ownership 

• Act as the primary contact and escalation point for your accounts 
• Manage client expectations of the engagement and the wider relationship 
• Make sure engagements start with the right governance in place 
• Grow accounts through follow-on scope, renewals and referrals 

What Success Looks Like 

• You’re consistently at or above target, with a forecast people trust 
• A growing share of your pipeline comes through partners rather than cold outreach 
• Vendor partners bring you deals without being asked 
• Your clients buy again, and they’ll take a reference call 
• Your deals are priced to protect margin, and delivery isn’t fighting scope you sold 

What You’ll Bring 

• 5+ years in B2B sales, including at least 2 years selling professional or consulting services in tech, data, cloud or AI 
• Experience selling through a technology partner ecosystem — channel, alliances, co-sell or referral 
• A consistent record of hitting or exceeding target, and the ability to explain how 
• Enough understanding of the Data & AI landscape to be credible with a CIO and a solution architect in the same conversation — you don’t need to be hands-on 
• Commercial acumen: you can scope and price a services engagement to a margin and hold the line when it’s tested 
• Strong consultative selling, negotiation and presentation skills 
• The self-direction to build your own pipeline and manage your own week 

Nice to Have 

• Experience selling into Financial Services, Retail, Healthcare or Government 
• Background around major cloud platforms, cloud data warehouses, data transformation and ingestion tooling, or data governance solutions 
• Practical understanding of how vendor partner programs work — tiering, competencies, funding and co-sell motions 
• An existing network across the Data/AI and digital transformation space
