Quarry Maintenance Supervisor - Afternoon Shift

Petrie Quarry is introducing a dedicated afternoon maintenance shift, and we're looking for an experienced Quarry Maintenance Supervisor to lead the team.

This is a unique opportunity to shape a new maintenance function and drive improved reliability across both fixed and mobile plant. Unlike traditional maintenance roles that compete with production demands, this shift provides dedicated maintenance windows, including full access to equipment after production ceases and during Sunday shutdown periods.

Your day will involve

As the Afternoon Shift Maintenance Supervisor, you'll lead maintenance activities across the quarry's mobile and fixed plant assets, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently and with minimal disruption to production.

Your roster will be:

• Sunday: 6:00am – 4:00pm
• Monday to Thursday: 12:00pm – 10:00pm

From 6:00pm each weekday and throughout Sunday maintenance periods, your team will have full access to equipment, allowing planned maintenance work to be completed without the competing demands of production.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate maintenance activities across fixed and mobile plant
• Supervise maintenance personnel and contractors
• Plan and execute preventative maintenance programs
• Coordinate shutdown and maintenance activities
• Support equipment reliability and plant availability targets
• Drive safety, compliance and continuous improvement initiatives
• Build a high-performing team culture aligned with Boral's STAAR values

What we are looking for:

• Supervisory experience within quarrying, mining, manufacturing, heavy industry or maintenance environments
• Strong understanding of fixed and/or mobile plant maintenance
• Ability to lead employees and contractors safely and effectively
• Well-developed planning, coordination and problem-solving skills
• Trade qualification highly regarded
