DATA ENTRY OPERATOR/RECEPTIONIST

LAUNCESTON PATHOLOGY

Status:      Part Time (21.5 hours per week)

Wednesday, Friday and Saturday

Department:                   Data Entry 

 About The Role:

1. Data entry of pathology request forms using laboratory application software

2. Answering phone enquiries, emails and in person enquiries

3. Medical reception duties

4. Provision of results to clients and medical practitioners

5. Handling accounts, appointment bookings and general reception tasks

6. Courier services with report delivery and sample pickup as required

7. Other associated administrative tasks as required

Selection Criteria:

1. Previous data entry experience and competence with a range of computer application programs

2. Previous experience with, or a sound knowledge of medical terminology - medical reception experience will be considered an advantage

3. A keen eye for detail and exceptional accuracy in data transfer operation

4. Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal

5. Well-developed general administrative skills 

6. The ability to work cooperatively in a team environment as well as autonomously when required

7. An understanding of and commitment to privacy and confidentiality requirements within a medical setting 

8. A current Australian drivers licence

9. The ability to live and work in Australia on a permanent basis at the time of application.
