Electrician for antique lighting restoration and residential installation

Our growing lighting business Langford Chandeliers is looking for another electrician to join the team!

We specialise in the restoration of antique lighting as well as residential installation of chandeliers and wall sconces.

We have a small friendly team and workplace environment and are looking for an electrician to join the team.

About the Role:

The role will comprise of electrical restoration and installation on a range of unique vintage and high-end lighting including chandeliers, table lamps and wall sconces.

Restorations generally include;

• Re-wiring to meet Australian electrical standards

• Fixing broken lamp holders

• Checking for safety and compliance

• Along with occasional aesthetic enhancements or metal works on lights including brass braising, repairing crystals, brass polishing, frame colour changing.

Full paid training will be provided.

Our showroom and workshop are located in Edgecliff ( directly opposite the train station). The role will involve working at the showroom as well as onsite for chandelier installation jobs. Most on-site jobs are within 5km of Edgecliff. Company vehicles will be used.

We are advertising this as full time role however the hours are flexible for the right person.

No weekend or night work. No running of cables etc

The successful candidate:

• Must have their valid Australian electrical licence

• Must have great attention to detail

• Great problem-solving skills

• Be hard working

• Have the ability to work carefully as we work with some extremely expensive lighting

• Be friendly and enjoy working with a small team

• Competent in OHS & WHS guidelines

• Ability to work independently with minimal direction, self-motivated & reliable

• Would suit a creative person

• Must hold driver's license
