Join our team as our Senior Legal Counsel

The Senior Legal Counsel provides commercially focused and pragmatic legal advice across Strike Energy’s corporate, commercial, operational and project activities.  The role supports legal risk management, commercial transactions, project development, governance and regulatory compliance.

• Provide practical, timely legal advice across a broad range of commercial, corporate and operational matters.

• Identify legal risks and opportunities, delivering proactive guidance that supports business objectives.

• Draft, review, negotiate and manage commercial contracts and key business agreements.

• Partner with operational and commercial teams to manage contractual obligations and mitigate risk.

• Support compliance with corporate governance requirements, ASX Listing Rules and relevant regulatory frameworks.

• Assist in the development and continuous improvement of legal policies, processes and risk management frameworks.

• Manage relationships with external legal advisers to ensure high-quality and cost-effective outcomes.

• Mentor and support junior team members while fostering a collaborative, high-performing and ethical team culture.

• Build strong stakeholder relationships and represent the business in external legal and regulatory engagements as required.

• Admitted Australian legal practitioner with a current practising certificate.

• 8+ years' post-admission experience in corporate and/or commercial law, ideally within the energy, resources or related sectors.

• Strong commercial acumen with the ability to balance legal risk and business outcomes.

• Proven experience in contracting, governance, compliance and risk management.

• Excellent communication, influence and stakeholder management skills.

• High levels of integrity, sound judgement and the ability to deliver quality outcomes in a fast-paced environment.
