Perform hands-on electrical and instrumentation activities while providing day-to-day leadership, technical support and guidance to trades personnel and contractors.
Allocate work priorities, coordinate resources and monitor progress to ensure maintenance, construction and shutdown activities are delivered on schedule.
Support the installation, maintenance, calibration and fault-finding of electrical systems, instrumentation, control systems, motors, switchgear and hazardous area equipment.
Ensure all E&I activities comply with safety, environmental and quality requirements, including permit-to-work systems, isolation procedures and relevant industry standards.
Collaborate with Supervisors, Planners, Operations and Maintenance teams to resolve equipment issues, improve asset reliability and support continuous improvement initiatives across terminal operations.
About you
Trade qualified Electrician, Instrumentation Technician or dual-trade E&I Technician, with experience in industrial maintenance, construction or operational environments.
Previous experience in a Leading Hand or senior trades-based role within fuel terminals, bulk storage, oil & gas, petrochemical, energy, utilities or other high-risk industrial sectors.
Strong technical knowledge of electrical distribution systems, instrumentation, PLCs, motor control centres (MCCs), hazardous area equipment and process control systems.
Demonstrated ability to lead small teams, coordinate daily work activities and maintain high standards of safety, quality and productivity.
Sound understanding of permit-to-work systems, electrical isolations, hazardous area requirements and risk management processes within live operating facilities.
Strong communication, leadership and problem-solving skills, with the ability to mentor team members, build effective stakeholder relationships and contribute to a positive safety culture.
