Refrigeration Technician or 2nd-4th Year Apprentice

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Refrigeration Technician or a 2nd-4th year Apprentice to join our team at DD Chill Pty Ltd in Toowoomba, QLD. This full-time position is an exciting opportunity to work on a variety of commercial and industrial refrigeration and air conditioning systems, contributing to the success of our growing business.

What you'll be doing

1. Perform installations, maintenance and repairs on commercial and industrial refrigeration and HVAC systems

2. Diagnose and troubleshoot issues with refrigeration equipment and controls

3. Carry out scheduled preventative maintenance inspections

4. Ensure all work is completed to the highest standard, adhering to safety protocols

5. Liaise with customers to provide excellent service and advice

6. Maintain accurate records and report on work completed

What we're looking for

1. Formal qualification in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning (Certificate III or higher) or available to RPL. Artick Gas Handling License

2. Minimum 1 year of experience as a qualified Refrigeration Technician, or 2-4 years as an Apprentice

3. Strong practical and technical skills in the installation, maintenance and repair of commercial and industrial refrigeration and HVAC systems

4. Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics

5. Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills

6. Strong customer service orientation and communication skills

7. A current driver's licence
