We are a boutique holiday accommodation situated at the beautiful Freycinet on the east coast of Tasmania.

We offer cabin style accommodations with magnificent views within 10 minutes’ drive to Coles Bay town centre and the national park.

Role Summary

We are looking for an enthusiastic, self-motivated, well-qualified and experienced full-time reception centre manager to join our team. Based at our resort facility, you will be involved in managing reservation, guest services, housekeeping, accommodation operations, property maintenance and staff training within a resort environment.

Full-time position with attractive salary package.

Responsibilities

• Direct and oversee the resort's reservations and reception functions.
• Manage and coordinate the daily operations of the reservations, front office, room service, and housekeeping departments.
• Oversee security procedures and property maintenance to ensure a safe and well-maintained environment.
• Supervise, train, and monitor staff performance, including preparing rosters and allocating duties.
• Liaise with and allocate tasks to the housekeeping and maintenance teams to ensure the smooth operation of the resort.
• Ensure compliance with Workplace Health and Safety (WHS/OH&S) requirements and all other relevant laws and regulations.
• Monitor guest satisfaction, handle guest complaints and feedback, and implement service improvements where required.
• Oversee financial and purchasing activities relating to reception and room services, including budget monitoring and cost control.
• Provide guests with local tourism information and arrange tours, transportation, and other travel-related services as required.
• Prepare and report operational and financial matters, performance outcomes, and recommendations to senior management.

Qualifications

To be considered for the role, you must have the following experience, knowledge and

qualifications:

• A minimum of one year’ of relevant work experience. Past work experience in similar resorts within high-end and eco-tourism environments will be highly regarded;
• A minimum Diploma;
• Excellent communication, leadership and management skills, both written and verbal;
• Understanding of regulatory practices and standards;
• Strong multitasking and organizational skills;
• Confidence and experience to work both in a team and alone where required;
• Excellent guest service skills and ability to deal professionally and efficiently with complaints;
• Great knowledge of nearby tourist spots;
• Strong commitment to the resort values and attention to details; and
• Great ability to guide new staff members.

Pay: $80,000.00 – $90,000.00 per year
