Dessert Bar Sales Assistant

The Slice Dessert Bar is a growing small business located in the Northern Beaches and we're looking for an outgoing & energetic person to join the team! The business has been running for 2 years now and has been steadily growing. The ideal applicant will have an engaging personality and a high care factor in everything they do. This position doesn't require any prior training or skills, all training will be provided.

On Saturday & Sunday you'll be required to pack and drive the company van to various locations to set up and sell our products at different markets and shopping centres. These days are generally longer than the standard 8hr shifts, therefore we offer the weekend pay + a commission if desired sales are reached.

What else do you need to know?

• Early hours. Depending of whether you're at a markets or shopping centre the start time at the Cromer kitchen ranges from 3-5am.

• Driving required. A drivers license and reliable car is a MUST. You'll be using the company van to travel to location but due to the hours mentioned above relying on public transport to get to the kitchen is not an option.

• Pay. The award is at a Level 1, plus you'll receive commission based on how many items are sold. This means the more you engage with our customers and get sales the more you get paid!

• My team. This is a small business. The right person will be joining a team of 3-4, but will be working independently on the weekends.

• Heavy lifting. Due to the portable set up at markets you will be required to lift and carry 20kg weights as well as the gazebo itself and all of the food in eskies and large cooler bags.

This position is the another large step in growing this small business so the application process will include an interview, followed by a trial shift for the right person. Whoever is selected will be representing my little business in front of our customers and fellow stall holders therefore, caring about them, the product and how the day runs is a non-negotiable.
