1770 Coffee Co is looking for an experienced, energetic and hands-on Venue Manager to take ownership of the day-to-day running of our flagship Agnes Water venue.

We’re a fast-growing independent specialty coffee company with our own roasting operation, a strong local following and an expanding wholesale business across Queensland.

Our Agnes Water venue is a busy, high-volume operation, and we’re looking for someone who can lead from the front, build a great team and keep the venue running smoothly.

The Role

As Venue Manager, you’ll work closely with the owners while taking responsibility for the day-to-day operation of the venue.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Leading, motivating and developing our team

• Staff rostering and managing labour costs

• Recruitment, onboarding and staff training

• Managing day-to-day venue operations

• Stock control, ordering and inventory management

• Maintaining excellent customer service standards

• Ensuring consistency, presentation and quality across the venue

• Monitoring costs, wastage and operational performance

• Maintaining workplace, food safety and compliance standards

• Helping drive the continued growth of the 1770 Coffee brand

• Working closely with the owners on improvements, ideas and future direction

Who We’re Looking For

We’re looking for someone who genuinely enjoys hospitality and knows how to lead a busy venue.

You’ll ideally have:

• Previous café, hospitality, retail or venue management experience

• Strong leadership and people-management skills

• Experience creating and managing staff rosters

• Good understanding of stock control and labour management

• Excellent communication and organisational skills

• A hands-on attitude

• High standards for customer service and presentation

• The ability to make decisions and take ownership

• Coffee experience is highly regarded, but strong management experience is equally important
