About the role

Alpha Ouzeri (modern Greek cuisine) is seeking an Experienced Cook to join our team in our restaurant located at 281 Victoria St Brunswick, VIC. This part time (full time for the right person) role will see you playing a key part in the preparation and delivery of high-quality Greek and Mediterranean cuisine to our guests.

What you'll be doing

• Assisting the Head Chef in the preparation and cooking of all menu items to the highest standard

• Ensuring the kitchen operates efficiently and all health and safety guidelines are followed

• Maintaining a clean and organised work environment

• Collaborating with the wider team to deliver an exceptional dining experience for our customers

• Providing input on menu development and contributing to the continuous improvement of our culinary offering

What we're looking for

• Minimum 4 years of experience as a Cook or in a similar culinary role, preferably knowledge of Greek and Mediterranean cuisine and cooking techniques

• Excellent time management and multitasking skills to work effectively in a fast-paced environment

• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also demonstrating initiative and problem-solving skills

• Passion for delivering exceptional customer service and creating memorable dining experiences

• Food safety and hygiene certification is highly desirable

• Must have Australian work rights to be eligible for this position
