Due to the exciting growth of our General Insurance team, we are currently recruiting multiple Claims Consultants to support our Specialty and Long Tail teams within the General Insurance division. In this role, you will manage a portfolio of general insurance claims, focusing on delivering fair, timely and customer-focused outcomes.

You will be responsible for end-to-end claims management, working closely with claimants, clients and stakeholders to assess, investigate and resolve claims in line with policy, regulatory requirements and best practice.

On a day to day basis, you will:

• Manage a portfolio of claims from lodgement through to resolution.
• Assess coverage and liability in accordance with policy and legislative requirements.
• Engage with claimants, brokers and stakeholders to progress claims.
• Investigate claims, gather evidence and determine appropriate outcomes.
• Negotiate settlements and ensure timely resolution of claims.
• Maintain accurate claims records and documentation.
• Identify opportunities for early resolution and improved customer outcomes.
• Ensure compliance with internal processes and regulatory standards.

We are considering candidates from a variety of insurance and claims backgrounds, who can bring a strong foundation in claims management. You will need to be detail-oriented, customer-focused and capable of managing your own portfolio in a fast-paced environment.

• Experience in claims management across any insurance line or related field.
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Ability to assess information and make sound decisions.
• Good organisational skills and ability to manage competing priorities.
• Customer-focused with strong problem-solving capability.
• Understanding of claims processes and regulatory requirements.
