Casual Barista

Insatiably passionate about coffee and people? Know your Batch Brew from your Bodum? Want to taste fresh, expertly roasted beans from across the world every single day? We have the role for you!  We’re looking for a Casual Barista to join the front-of-house team for approximately 20+ hours per week, at our Seven Miles Roastery Door in Wollongong.

Everything we do is in the passionate pursuit of exceptional coffee, making quality coffee accessible to more people every day. 

Our Roastery Door is a community hub, with loyal customers who share our passion for exceptional coffee and service.  

Hours of operation currently 6.00 am - 2.30 pm, Monday - Friday.

About the Role

As a Barista, you'll be the face behind the machine, crafting beautiful coffee, sharing a chat, and creating moments of connection, one cup at a time. Fast hands, warm heart, and a sharp eye for detail? Let’s brew something great together.

What You’ll Do

• Oversee daily operations and open/close as required

• Lead and motivate a small team to deliver excellent customer service

• Maintain high standards of coffee quality and consistency

• Manage stock, ordering, and cafe presentation

• Coordinate casual staff rosters

• Support event days and collaborations with the broader Seven Miles team

About You

• Proven experience in cafe or hospitality management

• Passion for coffee and customer experience

• Confident leading a team and running shifts independently

• Excellent communication and organisational skills
