The opportunity
Thiess is seeking an experienced Site Services Supervisor to lead the maintenance and upkeep of camp facilities and site buildings at the Lake Vermont Coal Project.

This newly created position plays a vital part in supporting operational excellence, ensuring our people have safe, reliable and well‑maintained facilities every day

As our Site Services Supervisor, you’ll be the go‑to leader overseeing essential site infrastructure—everything from camp services and buildings to critical facilities across site. You’ll ensure all assets are maintained to Thiess standards, while contributing to a culture of safety, continuous improvement and strong stakeholder collaboration.

You'll directly support the Electrical Superintendent and work closely with CaterCare, mining teams, suppliers and subcontractors to deliver high‑quality, cost‑effective outcomes that keep our people safe and our operations running.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead safe, compliant site maintenance by implementing HSE plans, identifying hazards, and ensuring only qualified personnel perform accredited tasks.
• Manage and execute maintenance activities across camp and site buildings, ensuring work meets specifications, quality standards and budget expectations.
• Plan and resource maintenance work effectively, keeping documentation up to date and addressing defects or abnormal plant conditions promptly.
• Lead, coach and develop the maintenance crew, fostering a culture aligned with Thiess values and maintaining strong internal and external stakeholder relationships.
• Oversee subcontractors, inventory, warranty processes and cost‑effective use of resources to achieve zero rework and reliable operational outcomes.

About You:
To be successful in this role, you will possess:

• A trade qualification or equivalent experience.
• Substantial experience in infrastructure maintenance within a mining or camp environment.
• Demonstrated leadership experience in a site‑based maintenance team.
• Exposure to maintenance planning and scheduling.
• Required Coal Mining competencies (RIIRIS301A, RIICOM301B, RIIOHS301A, RIIRIS402A).
• Strong understanding of the Coal Mining Safety and Health Act 1999.
• Excellent communication, problem‑solving and stakeholder engagement skills.
