About the role
We invite candidates to apply for the position of LIFT Mentor Teacher (Primary). This will be a part-time cover contract (0.4 FTE |2 days per week) in Term 4 of 2026.

The Position
As a Primary LIFT Mentor Teacher (Learning Intervention For Transformation), you will aspire to develop the capabilities of our ‘Lakes Learners’ with the passion and drive to generate knowledge, spark curiosity, build character and promote connection within our inclusive College Community.
Responsible to the Head of Primary, you will partner with Classroom Teachers to develop and deliver differentiated educational programs to suit the individual learning needs of our students with a focus on literacy and numeracy intervention providing both stretch and support to our Lakes Learners.
You will also be tasked with the caseload management of students across the Primary School, providing targeted support, extension opportunities and personalised strategies to maximise engagement, progress and achievement.
In your application, please include a covering letter (maximum 2 pages) which addresses the following key selection criteria along with a detailed resume.
Demonstrated understanding of various pedagogical approaches and age-appropriate strategies to cater for the development and delivery of differentiated learning programs across years Prep to 6.
Demonstrated experience working collaboratively with teachers and Learning Assistants to ensure stakeholder engagement and the implementation of effective intervention strategies.
Demonstrated ability to engage students in rich learning experiences that facilitate their language acquisition.
Demonstrated experience building a culture of positive relationship management with students, families, and colleagues.
Commitment to the Uniting Church ethos and an inclusive College community.
Current Queensland College of Teachers registration.
