About the role
Band 3 - $43.45 - $46.50 excluding superannuation and industry allowance of $0.92 per hour
Council are looking for enthusiastic and reliable individuals to join our Waste Services team as a Casual Transfer Station Attendant. This position may be required to work weekdays, weekends and public holidays.
As a Transfer Station Attendant, you will play a vital role in the smooth operation of Southern Grampians Shire Transfer Stations. Mainly based at the Hamilton Transfer Station but with the option to complete shifts at seven of the Shires outer transfer stations. You’ll assist local residents and businesses in maximizing recycling efforts and diverting waste from landfill, helping to promote a more sustainable and environmentally-conscious community.
While experience with Waste Transfer Station operations and having a current loader licence and heavy rigid license is mandatory, we are open to applicants who demonstrate a passion for learning and a commitment to providing courteous, professional customer service. If you enjoy helping others, solving problems, and contributing to the community’s sustainability, this is the role for you!
Interviews will be conducted throughout the advertising process, allowing us to meet with suitable candidates as applications are received.
Benefits of working at Council:
Working at Southern Grampians Shire Council provides great work life balance, competitive remuneration, salary sacrifice, access to health and wellbeing programs, and access to further training and development opportunities. We are a child safe organisation.
