Business Analyst – Communications Engine & Process Mapping

About The Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and process-driven Business Analyst with a sharp eye for detail and a passion for process excellence. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on analyzing, documenting, and improving business processes—especially those related to communication templates, marketing workflows, and stakeholder engagement.

As a Business Analyst, you will be instrumental in mapping and refining cross-functional processes that support marketing initiatives, campaign management, and customer communications. This is not a technical role—a strong functional understanding and process orientation is key.

Key Responsibilities

Collaborate with Marketing, Communications, and Product teams to map end-to-end business processes related to campaigns, templates, and content workflowsLead process mapping of templates, identifying interdependencies, gaps, and process inefficienciesConduct Business Verification Testing (BVT) to ensure processes and changes are aligned with business expectations before rolloutDocument and analyze current-state vs future-state processes, identifying bottlenecks, risks, and improvement opportunitiesTranslate functional requirements into clear and structured process documentation using tools like Visio, Lucidchart, or equivalentFacilitate workshops and process walkthroughs with stakeholders to validate business needs and drive alignmentSupport governance of communication templates—tracking changes, approvals, and ownership across teamsMaintain a strong understanding of business objectives to ensure process improvements align with strategic goals

What We’re Looking For

7+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, preferably in a process-heavy or operations-focused environmentStrong experience in working with XMLsProven experience in process mapping, process documentation, and functional analysisHands-on experience with Business Verification Testing and process validation techniquesStrong functional understanding of marketing or communication workflows, including template governance and campaign executionPrior exposure to Airdocs and Salesforce Marketing Cloud (or similar marketing automation/communication platforms)High proficiency in Excel, Jira, and Confluence for documentation, tracking, and collaborationFamiliarity with BPMN, Visio, Lucidchart, or similar process modeling platformsAbility to work cross-functionally and communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholdersStrong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and a passion for continuous improvement
