St Peter’s Outside School Hours Care (OSHC) has proudly supported the St Peter’s Catholic Primary School community for over 18 years. We provide a safe, fun, and welcoming environment for up to 135 children from Prep to Year 6, offering before school care, after school care, and exciting vacation programs.
Our service is built on strong relationships, a home-like atmosphere, and programs shaped by both our educators’ strengths and the children’s interests.

Key Responsibilities: 

• Provide nurturing and attentive care for children
• Create a safe, inclusive, and engaging environment
• Plan and deliver fun recreational and educational activities
• Build positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues
• Work collaboratively with a supportive team
• Join in on exciting excursions during vacation care

Job Requirements:

• Certificate III or Diploma in Children’s Services (or working towards) – desirable
• Current Queensland Blue Card (Working with Children Check)
• Current completion (or willingness to complete prior to commencement) of mandatory National Child Training (via Geckko).
• Passion for working with school-aged children in a play-based environment
• Understanding of the National Quality Framework / My Time, Our Place (or willingness to learn)
• Strong communication and teamwork skills

National Safeguarding Training (Geccko):

• As part of our commitment to child safety, all candidates are required to complete the National Safeguarding Training (Geccko).
• Please register and complete the training using the following link: https://learning.education.gov.au/register
• Once completed, please email a copy of your completion certificate to us.
• Please note that this training must be completed before we can proceed with an offer of employment.
