About the OpportunityCharles Elena is urgently recruiting a Full Stack Engineer to join a specialist technology team within a major Australian financial institution. This is a hands-on engineering role spanning both front-end and back-end development, delivering high-quality, scalable solutions within a fast-paced enterprise environment.

About YouYou are an accomplished Full Stack Engineer comfortable across the entire development stack — from building responsive, intuitive front-end interfaces through to scalable back-end services and APIs. You write clean, well-tested code, collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, and thrive in agile delivery environments.
Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, test, and maintain full stack applications across front-end and back-end layersBuild scalable, secure, and resilient services and APIsCollaborate with business analysts, architects, and stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutionsParticipate in code reviews and contribute to engineering best practicesProduce and maintain technical documentationTroubleshoot and resolve production issues, identifying and implementing root-cause fixesContribute to continuous improvement of development, testing, and deployment processesWork within CI/CD pipelines and cloud-based infrastructure
Required Experience & SkillsProven full stack development experience across modern front-end frameworks (React, Angular, or Vue) and back-end technologies (Java, Node.js, Python, or similar)Strong experience with RESTful API design and developmentFamiliarity with cloud platforms such as AWS or AzureExperience with relational and/or NoSQL databasesSolid understanding of CI/CD practices and source control (Git)Experience working within Agile delivery teamsWorking knowledge of AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot or similarFinancial services or banking experience highly regardedA self-sufficient and resourceful operator who works efficiently under pressure and delivers without the need for hand-holdingComfortable operating with confidence and composure in fast-paced, high-pressure environments
QualificationsMust be located in Sydney with full working rights. A tertiary qualification in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline is advantageous.
