About Mawarnkarra Health Service (MHS)
Mawarnkarra (MHS) is the largest primary health care provider providing direct services to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples living in the Roebourne area. MHS provides the families of Roebourne with a fully functional and accredited Clinic that treats approximately 3,000 people per year.

The Position
The Registered Nurse role is a part of the Clinic Team of Mawarnkarra Health Service.
The role of Registered Nurse is to have key responsibilities in the provision of person-centered clinical care, preventative health and health promotion. The Registered Nurse will provide evidence based clinical care and health promotion advice to the local community and others who use the service

The Requirements
Provide and initiate primary health care clinical nursing assessments and services as required
Work collaboratively with members of the clinical team to ensure the effective delivery of clinical care to patients.
Participate in case conferencing as necessary.
Assist the GPs with procedures.
Collaborate closely with GPs and visiting specialists on care of patients.
Provide advice, education and referrals as necessary.
Manage patient immunisations including the recording on AIR.
Oversee the management of patient recalls and reminders for the clinic. Ensure all recalling of patients for treatments is up-to-date at all times.
Participate in care planning.
Perform routine pathology tests, screening and other technical tasks such as ECGs, wound management and administration of medication
Other Requirements
Current AHPRA Registration.
Qualified Registered Nurse with minimum of 5 years of experience in a clinical setting (general practice preferred)
Consent to undergo a Working with Children Check and a National Criminal History Check. Employment is conditional pending the outcome of these checks.
Current CPR Certificate.
Current Anaphylaxis Certificate.
Nationally Recognised Immunisation Certificate (Desired).
Must hold a current Western Australian Drivers Licence.
All employees are subject to regular random drug and alcohol screening.
Remuneration Benefits include:
Base salary - $100,620.00
District allowance - single $3,055.65 or family $6,111.30
Housing allowance - $18,200
Electricity Allowance - (paid over summer 10 pay periods) - $1500
Annual Airfare Allowance (after 12 months continuous service) - $1000
Annual leave loading (when taken) - 17.5 % of base salary
Superannuation - 12%
37.5 Hour working week, Monday to Friday 8.30am to 4.45pm & Generous salary sacrificing available
