Cairns Airport - Customer Service / Baggage Handling

Part Time - 15-20 Hours per week.

Are you looking for an exciting opportunity to begin or further develop your career in aviation? Aus Flight Handling is looking for a motivated and customer-focused Customer Service Officer to join our close-knit team at Cairns Airport.

Our Cairns team provides ground handling services for Rex Airlines, NJE and Hevilift International, offering a diverse and dynamic working environment where no two days are the same.

This role will initially focus on learning and confidently performing all Customer Service Officer duties. Once you have successfully completed your training and are competent in the role, there will be opportunities to further develop your skills by undertaking training in ramp operations.

This provides the opportunity to gain experience working across a variety of aircraft, including the Saab 340, Dash 8 Q400 and ATR aircraft.

Full training is provided, making this a great opportunity for someone looking to develop a long-term career in the aviation industry.

• Have a strong focus on delivering excellent customer service

• Hold a current unrestricted driver's licence

• Have basic computer skills and the ability to learn new systems

• Available to work rotating shifts, including mornings, afternoons, nights, weekends and public holidays

• Able to obtain and maintain an ASIC (background check required)

• Able to pass Drug & Alcohol testing

• Reliable, professional and able to work well as part of a small team

• Safety-focused and willing to follow operational procedures

• Have a willingness to learn, develop new skills and take on additional responsibilities

• Interested in progressing into ramp operations following successful completion of Customer Service training

• Full training provided
