National Operations Manager

Ampersand have partnered with a leading commercial property organisation, who are looking to appoint an experienced National Operations Manager to lead the operational heartbeat of its business.
 
Reporting directly to the CEO, you'll oversee the people, processes, systems and governance that keep a nationally recognised organisation operating at its best. This is a rare opportunity to step into a broad, commercially focused leadership role where you'll have genuine influence across operations, people, technology, risk and corporate services.
 
You'll work closely with senior leaders across the business to drive operational excellence, improve systems and processes, lead a high-performing support team and ensure the organisation continues to scale efficiently and sustainably.
 
The Opportunity
 
This is far more than an operations management role.
 
You'll be responsible for bringing together multiple corporate service functions under one strategic leader, creating consistency across a national business while driving continuous improvement and supporting future growth.
 
Your remit will include:

• Leading national corporate services operations including HR and Administration  
• Managing outsourced technology partners and ensuring systems, cyber security and business continuity remain fit for purpose
• Driving operational excellence through improved processes, governance and service delivery
• Overseeing risk, compliance, WHS, ESG initiatives and ISO management systems
• Managing supplier relationships, procurement and operational budgets
• Acting as a trusted adviser to the CEO and executive leadership team on operational strategy and business improvement

 
About You
 
You'll be an experienced operations or corporate services leader who enjoys bringing structure, clarity and commercial thinking to complex organisations and present with:

• Significant experience leading operations or corporate services within a professional services or multi-site environment
• Strong leadership experience managing multidisciplinary support teams
• A sound understanding of HR, governance, compliance and operational risk
• Experience managing outsourced IT providers and business systems
• Commercial acumen with experience managing budgets, suppliers and contracts
• Excellent stakeholder management skills with the confidence to influence senior executives
• A continuous improvement mindset and the ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on delivery
