Ormeggio at The Spit is entering a new chapter — Ormeggio 3.0.

After 17 years, our menu is evolving to balance land and sea, introducing premium meat dishes alongside our signature seafood offering, while remaining deeply rooted in Italian tradition and refined hospitality.

As we relaunch our concept and venue, we are seeking experienced fine dining waiters to join our passionate front-of-house team.

About the Role

We are looking for an exceptional Section Waiter to deliver outstanding service and create memorable dining experiences for our guests. This is a full-time opportunity based at our picturesque waterfront venue in Mosman.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Providing attentive, knowledgeable, and polished table service
• Managing your section with confidence and professionalism
• Collaborating closely with the kitchen and wider floor team to ensure seamless service
• Guiding guests through menus, wine selections, and beverage pairings
• Assisting with restaurant setup and pack down as required
• Maintaining high standards of cleanliness, presentation, and service
• Contributing positively to a professional and supportive team culture

What We’re Looking For

Essential

• Full Australian working rights
• Minimum 1–3 years’ experience as a Section Waiter or similar role in a high-quality dining environment
• Fine dining experience and/or completed hospitality studies
• Strong food, wine, and beverage knowledge
• Passion for hospitality and guest experience
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, service-driven environment
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
• Availability to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays
• Experience using POS systems and SevenRooms

Preferred

• Knowledge of Italian cuisine and wine pairings
• WSET qualifications or ongoing wine studies
