Are you ready to make a meaningful impact in a vibrant and evolving school community? Cannington Community College is ideally seeking an enthusiastic, passionate, and dedicated Music Teacher to join our dynamic secondary team.

Note: This position is being advertised as part of a recruitment pilot designed to simplify the application process for teachers. A mandatory CV template is provided for use. The Role
The successful applicant should be able to teach Secondary Music across Years 7–10, delivering a curriculum that develops students' practical performance skills, music literacy, composition, listening, and appreciation.
Experience in directing instrumental and vocal ensembles, coordinating extracurricular music opportunities, contributing to whole-school performances, showcases, assemblies and community events is highly desirable. Experience in music production, recording technologies, digital audio workstations (DAWs), songwriting or contemporary music practices would also be highly regarded.
This is also an exciting opportunity to contribute to the future direction of Music at Cannington Community College. The successful applicant would help refine and prepare a contemporary Music Production course during Term 4 for implementation in 2027.
You will ideally display a strong understanding of the Western Australian Music Curriculum and to be able to develop purposeful, inclusive, and engaging learning programs that meet the diverse needs of our students. You would create a positive, supportive, and well-managed classroom environment where students are encouraged to develop their musical abilities, express themselves creatively, and achieve success.
