Private Physiotherapy Clinics | Immediate Start | Part-time

Preston Physiotherapy and Preston Pelvic Health are well-established private clinics providing high-quality, evidence-based physiotherapy care to the local community.
Our clinics support a diverse patient base and a team of experienced physiotherapists who value professionalism, teamwork and excellent patient service. Our reception team plays a vital role in the smooth running of the clinic and is often the first point of contact for our patients.
We pride ourselves on creating a welcoming, respectful and efficient environment for both patients and staff.
About the Role
This is an entry-level, in-person receptionist position aligned with Level 1 or Level 2 of the Health Professionals and Support Services Award.
Initial Shifts
Every Monday, 3:30pm–8:00pm.
For the first 3 months, the Monday shift will instead be 3:00pm–8:00pm.
Additional paid training shifts will also be provided as required.
Additional Leave Coverage
Availability is also required for additional shifts on Monday, Wednesday and Thursday between 19 October and 31 October to provide leave coverage.
Progression
After the first month of training, there is an opportunity to increase to 2–3 shifts per week, subject to meeting performance requirements.
As part of this progression, additional shifts may include a Saturday shift every second week, 7:45am–2:00pm.
Immediate start required.
Key Responsibilities
Welcoming and assisting patients at reception
Managing appointment bookings and enquiries by phone, email and in person
Processing payments and private health insurance claims
Maintaining accurate patient records
Supporting physiotherapists with daily clinic operations
Keeping the reception area professional, welcoming and organised in a fast-paced setting
Training & Development
We provide a structured 6-month training program designed to support entry-level receptionists as they develop confidence and competence in the role.
The training is fast-paced and requires dedication, attention to detail and a willingness to learn.
This role provides a strong foundation for future development and progression, whether you choose to build a long-term career in healthcare administration or pursue another career path.
About You
We are looking for someone who has:
Strong communication and customer service skills
The ability to remain calm, professional and organised in a busy clinic
Reliability and punctuality
Excellent computer skills and a willingness to learn practice management software
A positive attitude and team-oriented approach
A genuine interest in providing excellent customer service
Previous reception or customer service experience is preferred but not essential for the right candidate
Experience using Cliniko and/or Xero will also be advantageous
Availability Requirements
You must be:
Available for the Monday shift as outlined above
Available for additional Monday, Wednesday and Thursday shifts between 19 October and 31 October
Available for an in-person interview with Erin and Kaliopi on either Thursdays or Fridays
Pay & Conditions
Part-time position
Pay from $26.97 per hour. Junior rates apply for employees under 21, where applicable (potential increase from October 1st).
Pay will be in accordance with the applicable Health Professionals and Support Services Award classification, including relevant age and experience provisions
Paid training provided
In-person role
