About the role
📍 SydneyWe are working with a US-headquartered design, engineering and construction management firm that is building its presence within the Australian data centre and mission-critical construction market.We are looking for a Quantity Surveyor to provide commercial and cost management support across technically complex construction projects.This role will suit a quantity surveying professional with strong contractor or consultancy experience who is comfortable working across procurement, cost reporting, variations and contract administration.Key responsibilities:Prepare cost plans, budgets, estimates and commercial reports
* Support procurement activities, tender analysis and subcontractor appointments
* Review contractor quotations, payment claims and variations
* Monitor project expenditure against approved budgets
* Assist with contract administration and commercial risk management
* Prepare cash-flow forecasts and cost-to-complete reports
* Work closely with project managers, construction teams, consultants and clients
* Identify cost-saving and value-engineering opportunities
* Support final account negotiations and project close-outWhat we are looking for:Quantity surveying or commercial management experience within construction
* Exposure to data centres, mission-critical facilities or complex MEP-led projects
* Experience with cost planning, procurement, variations and progress claims
* Strong understanding of construction contracts and commercial processes
* Ability to analyse technical and commercial documentation
* Strong numerical, reporting and stakeholder-management skills
