Make a meaningful difference across one of NSW’s largest and most innovative palliative care networks. 

• Deliver advanced clinical leadership and specialist nursing care within a highly integrated Palliative Care Service operating across hospitals, community health centres, residential aged care facilities, and inpatient palliative care units. 
• Contribute to person-centred models of care, including the PEACH Program, supporting patients to receive high-quality end-of-life care in the place of their choice. 
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across six hospital sites and a broad network of medical, nursing, allied health, Aboriginal Health, volunteer and community services. 
• Support innovative and evolving models of care, including Renal Supportive Care, Neuro-Degenerative Services, Adolescent and Young Adult Palliative Care, and End of Life Care initiatives. 
• Play a key role in service improvement, clinical governance, care coordination and education, helping to shape the future of palliative and end-of-life care across South Western Sydney. 
   

Are You the Right Fit? 
Bring your expertise, compassion and leadership to support patients and families when it matters most. 

• Current registration as a Registered Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and relevant post-registration qualifications and at least 3 years’ experience working in the clinical area of the employees specified post-graduate qualification, or such other qualifications or equivalent experience deemed appropriate by the public hospital or public health organisation. 
• Demonstrated expertise in palliative care nursing, including the assessment and management of complex symptoms and end-of-life care needs. 
• Proven ability to provide clinical leadership, support evidence-based practice, and contribute to quality improvement and service development initiatives. 
• Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills, with a commitment to collaborative multidisciplinary care and strong patient, family and carer engagement. 
• Ability to work effectively across hospital, community and residential aged care settings, delivering coordinated and person-centred care within a networked service environment. 

Selection Criteria

• Do you currently hold Authority to Practice as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA, relevant post-registration qualification and at least 3 years full time equivalent experience working the clinical area of your qualification?
• Give a brief overview of what education training and clinically relevant experience you bring with you to the role?
• Can you describe your experience in providing complex, evidence-based nursing care, including how you use critical thinking to deliver safe, compassionate, high-quality, and culturally responsive care? Please include an example that demonstrates how you communicated and collaborated with patients, carers, and the multidisciplinary healthcare team to identify and respond to care needs.

• Can you provide an example of how you have demonstrated professionalism in the workplace, including building effective working relationships, resolving conflict, and contributing to risk management, work health and safety, and quality improvement initiatives?
