Senior Transport EngineerSalary: $107,874 – $114,425 per annumPlus up to 15% superannuation (conditions apply)Ref No: 26-103
The City is seeking a highly motivated and well-organised individual with extensive experience in transport engineering to join our Engineering Services team as a Senior Transport Engineer.
In this role you will be responsible for overseeing the delivery of the City's transport initiatives, strategies and projects, including those identified in the Integrated Transport Plan and Five-Year Infrastructure Capital Works Program. You will provide expert technical advice on transport planning, traffic engineering, road safety and parking matters, coordinate the development and implementation of Traffic Management Schemes, and undertake project and contract management for a range of transport-related projects. You will also assess and provide traffic and transport advice for land development and subdivision applications, lead community consultation activities, and assist with grant funding applications for road and transport network upgrades.

Tertiary qualifications in Transport Engineering, Civil Engineering, Transport Planning or a related discipline.Demonstrated experience in transport engineering, transport planning or traffic engineering, including the development and implementation of transport initiatives and traffic management solutions.Experience providing technical advice relating to transport planning, traffic engineering, road safety, parking management, land development applications and subdivision approvals.Sound knowledge of Australian Standards, Austroads guidelines, State planning processes and relevant legislation relating to traffic and transport engineering.High level computer literacy, including Microsoft Office, CAD software and traffic analysis or transport modelling software.Demonstrated project and contract management experience, including preparing project plans, specifications, RFQ documentation and managing consultants and contractors.Highly developed interpersonal, communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with experience working collaboratively with government agencies, developers, contractors and the community.
The successful applicant will be required to hold a WA ‘C’ Class Driver’s Licence and a Construction Safety Induction (White Card).
