We have a variety of day and night shifts available in Wollert for a young adult client! A postgraduate critical care qualification would be highly regarded to manage ventilation and tracheostomy at home for our young male client.
About the Role
This is a rare opportunity to apply your critical care skills in a truly one-on-one environment. You'll deliver hospital-level intensive care directly in a patient's home — providing the kind of attentive, personalised care that's simply not possible on a busy ICU ward.
You'll work as part of a skilled, supportive clinical team coordinated by Intensive Care at Home, with clear protocols, regular communication, and a strong clinical support network behind you.
What We Offer
Competitive hourly rates — well above standard nursing pay
Flexible rostering — shifts designed around your availability
Meaningful, high-acuity 1:1 patient care
Ongoing clinical support and supervision from senior ICU nurses
The autonomy and satisfaction of community-based critical care
A collaborative team culture with a genuine commitment to patient outcomes
What You'll Do
Provide continuous critical care nursing to a ventilator-dependent or high-needs patient in their home
Monitor, assess, and respond to changes in the patient's condition
Liaise with the clinical team, family, and treating physicians
Maintain accurate clinical documentation
Support the patient's quality of life and dignity within their home environment
What You'll Bring
Current AHPRA registration — Division 1 Registered Nurse
Minimum 2 years' ICU, CCU, or critical care nursing experience
Genuine passion for delivering outstanding patient-centred care
Strong clinical assessment and communication skills
The confidence and initiative to work autonomously
You'll Also Need
Valid Working with Children Check
National Police Record Check (or willingness to obtain)
Current driver's licence
Valid ALS/BLS certification
NDIS worker screen
