THE JOB
An established, family-run stone manufacturer in Bayswater, Melbourne is looking for an experienced Factory Manager / Senior Fabricator to lead their benchtop workshop.You'll provide direction to the factory team and machine operators, keep production running smoothly, and still work on the tools when required. This is a hands-on leadership role in a growing business producing premium natural stone, porcelain and sintered stone benchtops.
YOUR KEY DUTIESProvide direction and leadership to the factory team, machine operators and other staffSupervise and support staff in the timely, accurate completion of workManage a small, close-knit factory teamRegularly work on the tools as requiredImplement systems and processes that drive consistency, efficiency and qualityOversee maintenance of equipmentEnsure effective skills and training programs are implementedManage Occupational Health & Safety complianceMaintain cleanliness and organisation of the factory
WHAT YOU'LL NEED
Stone industry experience is a mustPrevious factory manager experience preferredBenchtop fabrication knowledge from start to finishProven leadership - build and manage effective teamsMachinery knowledge highly desirableForklift licence preferable
