The Role

We have a full-time permanent position available to join our Security, Telecommunications and Locksmithing trade at TAFE Queensland’s Eagle Farm Campus. 

This position reports to the relevant Business Manager.

Mandatory Requirements

Applicants must possess MEM30819 Certificate III in Locksmithing, or equivalent, and the following:

• current industry skills directly relevant to the training and assessment being provided;
• current knowledge and skills in vocational training and learning that informs the training and assessment provided; and
• evidence of undertaking professional development in the fields of the knowledge and practice of vocational training, learning and assessment including competency-based training and assessment.

Additionally, to become a TAFE Queensland teacher you must hold, or be willing to obtain, a qualification in adult education. Primarily this qualification is TAE40122 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment, or equivalent.  

Please note applicants need not necessarily possess teaching experience, as the right candidate may be trained and developed through coaching, mentoring and partnering. Importance is placed on possession of the appropriate qualifications, industry experience and the right attitude.
