We are seeking an experienced Work Health and Safety Coordinator to join our team and play a key role in supporting the delivery of WHS initiatives across a large and diverse organisation.
About the role:Reporting to the WHS Manager, you will play a key role in supporting the delivery of Achieve Australia's WHS initiatives across a large and diverse service environment.
This is a hands-on role where no two days are the same. You will work closely with leaders across the organisation, helping them build WHS capability, navigate workplace risks and meet their WHS obligations. Through practical advice, coaching and support, you will empower leaders to drive safe work practices within their teams and services.
You will be involved in a broad range of activities including incident management, investigations, audits, inspections, risk management, emergency management and compliance. The role also provides the opportunity to lead and contribute to improvement initiatives, influence positive change and support the ongoing development of WHS systems, processes and practices across the organisation.
Working within a small and collaborative WHS team, you will have the opportunity to take ownership of meaningful work while building strong relationships with stakeholders across the organisation. This role offers a balance of operational support and project work, making it an excellent opportunity for an experienced WHS professional looking to broaden their experience and make a genuine impact.

To be successful in this role, you will needA qualification in Work Health and Safety or a related discipline.At least 5 years' experience in a WHS Coordinator, WHS Advisor or similar role.Strong working knowledge of WHS legislation, risk management and compliance requirements.Experience leading investigations, audits and workplace inspections.The ability to build strong relationships and engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels.Strong problem-solving skills and a practical approach to supporting operational teams.Experience in a complex or highly regulated environment will be highly regarded.
