We are seeking qualified, motivated and engaging First Aid Trainers and Assessors to deliver practical, face-to-face First Aid and CPR training.
The successful candidate will have strong practical First Aid knowledge and the ability to create an engaging and supportive learning environment. Training and assessment will include hands-on demonstrations, realistic scenarios and practical activities that help students develop confidence in responding to emergency situations.
The units delivered include:
HLTAID009 – Provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation
HLTAID010 – Provide basic emergency life support
HLTAID011 – Provide First Aid
HLTAID012 – Provide First Aid in an education and care setting
Deliver high-quality First Aid and CPR training and assessment in a face-to-face classroom environment.
Facilitate practical, hands-on and scenario-based learning activities.
Demonstrate First Aid techniques clearly and provide students with appropriate opportunities to practise their skills.
Assess student competence and provide clear and constructive feedback.
Support students from diverse cultural, educational and professional backgrounds.
Maintain accurate training, assessment and student records.
Ensure compliance with NIT’s training and assessment policies and procedures and applicable regulatory requirements.
Maintain current First Aid knowledge, vocational competency and industry practice.
Participate in validation, professional development and continuous improvement activities.
Essential:
A current Certificate IV in Training and Assessment, such as TAE40122 or TAE40116, or another credential that meets current regulatory requirements.
Current vocational competency in:
HLTAID009 – Provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation
HLTAID010 – Provide basic emergency life support
HLTAID011 – Provide First Aid
HLTAID012 – Provide First Aid in an education and care setting
Demonstrated current First Aid industry knowledge and practical experience.
Ability to deliver engaging, practical and learner-focused classroom sessions.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
Strong organisational and time-management skills.
Sound computer literacy and the ability to maintain accurate electronic records.
A current Working with Children Check, or the ability to obtain one.
Eligibility to work in Australia.
Desirable:
Previous experience delivering and assessing accredited First Aid and CPR training.
Relevant experience in healthcare, emergency response, education, community services or a related field.
Experience delivering training to diverse student cohorts.
A current Australian driver’s licence.
Flexibility to deliver training across different schedules and locations, where required.
