Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced DevOps Lead for a contractual opportunity based in Sydney. This is a 100% onsite role. The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of experience in DevOps, automation, CI/CD, containerization, and cloud-native technologies, with strong hands-on expertise in building and managing scalable and reliable delivery environments.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and implement DevOps automation and CI/CD strategies across development and production environments.Design, develop, and maintain automated infrastructure and deployment processes using Ansible.Build, manage, and optimize CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and Azure Pipelines.Manage source-code repositories, branching strategies, and version control using Git.Design, deploy, and manage containerized applications using Docker.Lead Kubernetes-based application deployment, orchestration, scaling, and troubleshooting.Establish best practices for continuous integration, continuous delivery, infrastructure automation, and release management.Collaborate with development, QA, security, and infrastructure teams to improve delivery efficiency and system reliability.Troubleshoot complex deployment, infrastructure, and production issues.Contribute to cloud-native architecture and modernization initiatives.Provide technical leadership and mentoring to DevOps and engineering teams.Support integration and operational requirements involving Apache Kafka and Azure DevOps.

Candidate Profile
10+ years of overall IT experience, with substantial hands-on DevOps experience.Strong experience designing and implementing CI/CD pipelines and automation frameworks.Proven expertise with Docker and Kubernetes in enterprise environments.Strong scripting, troubleshooting, and automation capabilities.Experience working in Agile/DevOps environments.Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills.Ability to provide technical leadership and independently drive DevOps initiatives.Willingness and ability to work 100% onsite in Sydney.
