About the Position

We are seeking Practice Receptionists to join our City East team at our brand-new practice in Alexandria, opening in September 2026.

This is a permanent position, with the practice operating Monday to Friday. We are open to full-time applicants or part-time applicants. As the first point of contact for our patients, you will play a vital role in delivering an outstanding patient experience, guided by our HEART Values.

Working in a fast-paced healthcare environment, your responsibilities will include:

• Welcoming patients and providing exceptional customer service both in person and over the phone.
• Scheduling appointments and managing the patient booking system.
• Accurately entering and maintaining patient information.
• Processing patient billing, invoicing and payments.
• Liaising with referring doctors and internal clinical teams as required.
• Supporting the smooth flow of patients throughout their visit while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism.

About You

We're looking for someone who is passionate about delivering exceptional customer service and enjoys making a positive difference to the patient experience.

You will bring:

• Outstanding customer service and interpersonal skills, with a genuine sense of empathy, compassion and professionalism.
• Strong organisational and administrative skills, with excellent attention to detail.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and the ability to quickly learn new systems.
• A commitment to maintaining confidentiality and handling sensitive information with discretion.
• The ability to prioritise competing tasks, multitask effectively and remain calm in a busy, fast-paced environment.
• The confidence to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a supportive team.
• A positive, proactive attitude with a willingness to learn, embrace new challenges and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement.

Previous experience in a patient-facing role within healthcare or medical reception will be highly regarded but is not essential.
