About the role
WA Building Company is a division of one of Perth's largest home building groups, servicing the first home buyer market based in Wangara.
We are currently seeking a full-time experienced or trainee scheduler to join our team, to help produce accurate quantity take offs for materials and labor and issue corresponding Purchase Orders.
To be successful in this role, you will need to have an output oriented attitude, good verbal and written communication skills, willingness to learn and take on challenges, adaptable to changing situations and willingness to be part of the team.
This excellent opportunity is for a highly proactive and thriving Candidate who is currently within or has knowledge in the Construction Industry and looking to further develop their skills, knowledge and experience.
Other duties include, but are not limited to:
Cross check essential documents related to a specific job / project
Raising and issuing purchase orders to suppliers based on quantified materials and labor
Booking in site construction dates
Periodical evaluation of suppliers’ and trades’ invoices
Constant interaction with supervisors, suppliers and the rest of the building team
Assist supervisors on queries related to procured materials for the jobs
You will have the following attributes;
Keen on details and can scrutinize documents thoroughly
Ability to read and articulate building plans and specifications
Excellent time management skills and the ability to perform under pressure
Ability to work autonomously as well as within a team environment
Strong interpersonal, verbal and written skills
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel
Experience with having to prioritize tasks and manage workflow tasks
Ability to identify and work through problem solving efficiently & effectively
