About the role:

As our Melbourne Corporate Finance practice continues to grow, we are seeking an experienced M&A Manager or Senior Manager to join our high-performing team. This is an opportunity to work on diverse and interesting transactions, build lasting client relationships, and play a key role in developing both our people and the future direction of the team.

As a key member of our Corporate Finance team, you will:

• Lead and support end-to-end M&A transactions across sell-side and buy-side engagements
• Manage IPO and capital raising assignments from planning through to execution
• Prepare marketing materials including information memorandums, investor presentations and target lists
• Coordinate and manage virtual data rooms and transaction processes
• Undertake financial modelling, valuation analysis and strategic assessments
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, investors, legal advisors and other stakeholders
• Assist with deal origination and business development opportunities
• Manage multiple engagements simultaneously while ensuring quality outcomes
• Mentor, coach and develop junior team members
• Collaborate closely with partners and colleagues across the broader RSM network

About you:

You thrive in a fast-paced, deal-driven environment, enjoy mentoring junior team members, and bring a proactive approach to identifying opportunities and delivering exceptional outcomes for clients.

You'll ideally have:

• 5+ years of experience within Corporate Finance, M&A Advisory, Transaction Services, Investment Banking, Professional Services or Corporate Development
• A Business, Commerce or Accounting degree
• CA, CPA or equivalent professional qualification
• Demonstrated experience working across M&A transactions, capital raising or strategic advisory engagements
• Strong financial modelling and analytical capabilities
• Excellent report writing and communication skills
• Experience managing, mentoring and developing team members
• Strong stakeholder management and client relationship skills
• The ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

Highly regarded:

• Experience contributing to business development and deal origination activities
• Exposure to IPO transactions and equity capital markets
