About the RoleWe are seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer to support a major Federal Government ICT transformation and modernization program.You will work closely with development, cloud/platform, integration and cyber security teams to build and maintain secure, resilient and highly automated application environments.
Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, build and maintain complex Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines.Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using ARM templates, Bicep and YAML.Automate deployments and operational processes using PowerShell.Deploy, configure and maintain Azure resources, including Azure App Service.Manage development, testing and production hosting environments.Implement monitoring, alerting and proactive issue-resolution capabilities.Integrate automated testing and security controls, including SAST and DAST, into CI/CD pipelines.Troubleshoot complex applications across cloud and on-premises environments.Collaborate with developers, Cyber Security, integration teams and other technical stakeholders.Maintain technical documentation covering deployments, configurations and DevOps best practices.
Essential ExperienceExtensive Azure DevOps experience, including complex pipeline design and maintenance.Strong CI/CD and Infrastructure as Code experience using Azure DevOps and/or GitHub.Strong Git knowledge, including branching strategies and code reviews.Hands-on Azure experience, particularly Azure App Service and related cloud services.Experience across major cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS or GCP.Strong PowerShell scripting and automation capability.Experience with ARM templates, Bicep and YAML.Strong application troubleshooting skills across on-prem and cloud environments.Experience supporting software development, build and deployment processes.Exposure to cloud optimization/FinOps and resource right-sizing.
Highly DesirableBachelor's degree in computer science, IT or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.Hands-on application development experience.Experience implementing build and deployment systems within complex enterprise environments.Previous experience within Federal Government or highly regulated environments.
