Own the guest journey before they arriveThe Lodge Group is seeking a highly organised and guest-focused Group Reservations & SevenRooms Manager to take ownership of our reservations systems and guest communications across our venues in Australia and New Zealand.
Based at Rodd & Gunn’s Melbourne head office, this role sits at the centre of The Lodge Group, working closely with venue, marketing and leadership teams throughout the business.
This newly created role will be responsible for SevenRooms across the group, including booking availability, access rules, experiences, offers, guest profiles, database segmentation and targeted EDM campaigns.
You will also provide a personalised point of contact for selected VIPs, regular guests and key clientele, ensuring their experience with The Lodge Group begins well before they arrive at one of our venues.
This is an opportunity to combine hospitality, technology, guest relationships and commercial thinking in a role with genuine group-wide influence.
About the RoleReporting to the Director of Hospitality, you will work closely with venue management, marketing, events and key stakeholders to ensure our reservation systems are accurate, effective and aligned with the individual positioning of each venue.
You will become the group’s SevenRooms expert, supporting venue teams while continually improving how we manage reservations, communicate with guests and use our database to encourage repeat visitation.
Key ResponsibilitiesOwn the configuration and ongoing management of SevenRooms across the group.
Manage booking availability, access rules, cancellation policies, deposits and service periods.
Build experiences, offers, packages and special-event booking pathways.
Create and distribute targeted guest EDM campaigns.
Develop guest segments based on preferences, behaviour, location and visit history.
Maintain accurate VIP, regular guest and stakeholder profiles.
Manage selected guest and VIP communications with discretion and care.
Support venue teams with complex bookings and reservation escalations.
Monitor booking conversion, waitlists, cancellations and no-show activity.
Produce reporting on reservations, campaign performance and guest engagement.
Train venue teams and establish consistent reservation standards.
Identify opportunities to improve table utilisation, guest retention and revenue.
You understand that a great hospitality experience begins with the first interaction.
You may currently work in restaurant reservations, guest relations, CRM, venue operations or hospitality marketing and be ready to take ownership of a broader group-wide function.
You will ideally bring:
Experience using SevenRooms or a similar reservations and CRM platform.
A strong understanding of restaurant reservations and guest service.
Experience creating EDMs, campaigns or targeted customer communications.
Excellent written communication skills and attention to detail.
Confidence working with data, guest profiles and campaign reporting.
The ability to communicate comfortably with VIPs and high-value guests.
Strong organisational skills and the ability to support multiple venues.
A commercial mindset and an interest in improving systems and processes.
Experience in premium hospitality, hotels, restaurants or luxury customer service.
